This workshop is ideal for educators who want to be better equipped to impart the technical skills necessary to be successful behind the chair. Areas of focus: Razor, Precision Cutting, Wig Work, Consultation, Facial Framing, Hair Pieces & Hair Extensions, Styles from Classic to Avant-garde, Dress work & Finishing skills.

What Should I Expect During This Workshop?
Vivienne Mackinder will personally sit down with you to help understand your learning needs. Together, you will create a learning path for the week that will help you go to your next level as you develop and increase your technical skills as a professional hairdresser. Each day will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.
How Many People Are In The Workshop?
This is a hands on experience with an intimate learning environment, meaning there are only six students in the boot camp. Vivienne will challenge you to go to your next level and become the best hair designer you can be.
Do We Use Live Models Or Mannequin Heads?
Each look is created on a mannequin head and your work is photo journaled, meaning Vivienne will take pictures of your mannequin heads and you will have the opportunity to take home your images after the workshop so you can review your work over and over again.
Where Is The Workshop Located?
The Location is Vivienne's private studio in the Hamptons. There is not an address for the studio. However, it would be best for you to program in your GPS 32 Ann Ave Riverhead, NY 11901. Once you arrive to that address you will go just a little past it (same side of the road) and see on the left the grey studio that resembles a barn.

What Airport Do I Fly Into?
The nearest airport to Vivienne’s studio is the Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISLIP). This airport is 30 minutes from the studio. Due to limited flights, you may want to fly into JFK or La Guardia. These airports are an hour and 20 minutes away from the studio.
Should I Rent A Car During My Stay?
Because the workshop is located in the Hamptons, it is best that you rent a car during your stay. Please click this link to learn more about the area.
What Is The Train The Trainer Workshop?
Train the Trainer workshops are designed specifically for educators and salon owners who train and educate within the salon. Vivienne has created an Apprenticeship system that gives you a guide and a structure to create a learning path for your new hires to help you train your team members to be skilled professional hairdressers. She will teach you the skills necessary to impart and train with soft skills, fundamentals, cutting, styling and color techniques. Using Vivienne's apprenticeship system, you will be able to train your new hires more efficiently and effectively getting them on the floor in your salon making money faster with higher technical skills to turn them into the professionals they are meant to be.
What Is The Styling Workshop?
During the styling workshop you will learn the art of blow drying and styling, the art of setting, and the foundation of dressing hair. Diving into the art of backcombing and pinning, you will be shown techniques to create and control the silhouettes you want. Pony tails, braids, relaxed and formal styles. This workshop is perfect for those who want to become a better editorial hairstylist or those who want to offer more advanced services in special events hairstyling or bridal services.
What Is The Cutting Workshop?
During this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of precision cutting, abstract cutting and the classic principles of cutting with a modern edge. You will also dive into razor cutting that will include Blunting, Chisel, Valley and Peak Etching, Valley and Peak Circle, The ‘L’ Technique, Butter Knife as well as The Razor Over Comb technique.
