Rosemary Tejeda

Born and raised in NY, Rosemary Tejeda has been a part of the salon industry for over 20 years, with 15 of those years working at Maximus Spa/Salon where she held the title of In-house Educator. Education is a passion of Tejedas.  She prides herself on adding value to people’s lives, especially those who have helped make her who she is today.

Throughout Rosemary’s years at Maximus, there have been many accomplishments including serving as a Kerastase Ambassador, a Redken specialist and a Soho Chic Educator at the L’Oreal Academy.  As part of Rosemary’s continuing education she has attended various seminars at Wella, TIGI and The Salon International in London for 10 consecutive years. Tejeda has also worked on a variety of shows such as Ricki Lake, Maury Povich, Sally Jesse Raphael and NYC Fashion Week, just to name a few. Rosemary is also no stranger to editorial photo shoots and celebrity engagements.

A few years ago one of Rosemary’s dreams became reality when she had the fortuitous opportunity to meet the legendary Vivienne Mackinder, she was presenting HairdesignerTV to the salon. “I never thought I would be able to talk to her let alone have the opportunity to assist her for two years,” says Tejeda. Through Vivienne’s mentoring, teaching and guidance, Rosemary has been able to obtain her highest achievement to date, becoming a member of the HairDesignerTV’s Artistic Team.  Under Vivienne’s tutelage, Tejeda has undergone coaching and training from Dr. John C Maxwell, a leadership expert who has influenced and empowered leaders of organizations around the world.

Working with Vivienne has given Rosemary the opportunity to practice her craft while traveling to many places throughout the US and abroad, including Sao Paulo, Brazil and Dublin, Ireland.  “What I have learned and experienced has created a stronger value in me, both professionally and personally. It has opened new doors of creativity, new language and excitement in the wonderful world of hairdressing.
I became a hairdresser because of my passion and constant desire to learn, grow and inspire other hair professionals and my clients.  I will continue to strive to make a difference in at least one person’s life.”
